Well, hello New Year, new me…
I am still me, each and everyday what changes about me is my growth and elevation as a being of love of light. Usually I am used to setting goals every New Year. Although I find setting goals is very important and effective, writing them down and creating habits that align with your success to those goals, I also find setting intentions effective. Goals allow you to plan for the future to stay on track and get sh*t done! But sometimes focusing on the future can be stressful especially when you don’t see results being achieved as quickly as you would like.
Intentions do not focus on the future but rather focus on the present. When you are present you are focused on what is in the NOW, the time you have NOW, what you are grateful for NOW, what you can do NOW and make it count. Being intentional allows you to focus on how you want to be in the moment and allows you live through your values, your hearts desire.
When we focus on intentions along with your goals you become a person who enjoys the journey as much as the destination. Because it is all about the journey, that is where you learn, grow, thrive, achieve, fail, discover and more. You gain so much more from the journey and when you arrive at the destination it’s like WOW I did it! And accomplishment, joy, happiness flows through you and invigorates, drives you to set bigger goals and more intentions. Be intentional 🙂
in·ten·tioninˈten(t)SH(ə)n/nounplural noun: intentions
- 1.a thing intended; an aim or plan.“she was full of good intentions”
Intentions are all the good that you intend and want for yourself. Try setting some intentions and holding yourself accountable with the TGG Intentions worksheet below. It allows you to check in with yourself every month as to not loose sight of the good after 1, 2 or 3 months and allows you you to put into perspective your daily routine; what to do you do everyday and what do you loved and want, do they line up?
Happy New Year!
